What a spring cleanup includes
Winter leaves behind matted grass, debris in the beds and soft, ragged edges. A spring cleanup resets the property so the first mow of the season looks finished.

Spring timing on the North Shore
- Spring cleanups start as soon as the ground dries out, usually late March into April.
- In Wilmette, Glencoe, Highland Park, Winnetka and Kenilworth, April is the only spring month gas leaf blowers are allowed, so we schedule the big cleanups then.
- Most village yard waste pickup starts in late March or April. We can bag to those rules or haul everything away.
When to book
Spring routes fill fast once the snow melts. Book this winter to lock in an early spring date.

When do you start spring cleanups?
As soon as the ground is dry enough to work without tearing up the lawn, usually late March or early April.
Is mulch included?
Mulch is quoted separately by the cubic yard, based on your beds, so you only pay for what you need.
Can I start weekly mowing after the cleanup?
Yes. Most spring cleanup clients go straight onto a weekly lawn care plan.
